(VIDEO) Red carpet interviews at BIFF Awards Night 2010

Paradise Island, Bahamas - The Bahamas Weekly News Team takes you to the red carpet on December 5th at the 7th annual Bahamas International Film Festival with interviews with the Bahamas Film Commissioner, Craig Woods.
Then hear from Rasselas Lakew, the co-director and star of The Athlete, the double winner of BIFF's Audience Award and was the 'Spirit of Freedom' winner. His film expects to make the short list for the Academy Awards;
Next you will hear from director Adam Reid of Hello Lonesome, winner of the New Visions Award (feature film category).
Our next interview is with Bahamian film director, Gustavius Smith who won the Film Makers Residency award two years ago at BIFF, and who this year won the Best Short Film Award for his short, Contact Zone.
In this video you will also hear from the Filmmakers Residency Program winner, Sara Van Acker who won with her screenplay "Blood Lust." She won out of 6 finalists and were mentored by professionals during the festival. Her film was based on the female pirate Anne Bonny.
You will hear from short film director (Bahamian) Travon Patton alongside his cast from
Redial Sunshine, a locally shot film based on a love story.
Final words are given from Leslie Vanderpool. Founder and Executive Director of BIFF who reiterates the strength of the support to pull off a film festival under such financially hard times.
In closing we introduce you to Sammy T and His Tight Trousers and take you to the Green Parrot for the closing night party where the band performed.
