At about 2:30pm on Friday 28th September 2012, Ms Chaz Cartwright of Pine Bay Estates, was driving her car west along the Grand Bahama Highway, when she came upon a traffic accident that had just occurred, involving a blue Chevrolet sedan driven by a young lady who had herlittle childas passenger, which went out of control, ran off the road and overturned in the bushes, resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle.

Ms Cartwright immediately pulled over and stopped, ran over to the overturned vehicle and after assessing the situation, telephoned the police.

She along with her passenger then assisted the driver and her young child, both of whom sustained injuries,out of the wrecked vehicle and placed them in her car, where she remained at the scene with them until the police and EMS personnel arrived and transported them to the hospital for treatment.

As a result of her considerate action in rendering assistance to a fellow motorist in distress, Ms Cartwright was nominated as the " Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter-September 2012".

She was presented with a gift certificate for a full tank of gasoline anda mahogany inscribed plaque.
