Superintendent Dean receives Rotary's prestigious Paul Harris award

Nassau, Bahamas - Superintendent Stephen Dean was among a few other honorees at a Rotary Foundation Gala event, courtesy all the Rotary Clubs in the Bahamas on Friday 8th November.

The event, which was held at Government House Under the Distinguished Patronage of Their Excellencies Sir Arthur Foulkes, Governor General of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas and Lady Foulkes paid tribute to Rotarians and others in the community who give Service Above Self.

Superintendent Dean who is a member of the Rotary Club of Nassau received the prestigious Rotary Paul Harris Award in recognition of his service to the country and for the gallant efforts that he and his colleagues on the Royal Bahamas Police Force do to make the Bahamas a safer place to live, work, visit and play.

As a recipient of this award $1,000 was donated to The Rotary Foundation in Superintendent Dean's name. Contributions to The Rotary Foundation allow Rotarians to continue providing vaccines that will help rid the world of the disease polio. The Rotary Foundation will also be able to provide grant funding to Rotary Clubs to assist with numerous projects.
