The Bahamas is Most Popular Weddings & Honeymoon Destinations for
Canadian. That is according to a recent survey conducted by Weddingbell's and Today's
Bride the leading brides' magazines in Canada.
Weddingbells’ Annual Reader Survey conducted over a three month period from January 2014 to March 2014 reveals the most recent
wedding trends and facts from Canadian brides getting ready to walk down
the aisle.
Indicating that of the estimated 162,056 Canadian weddings,
15% of Canadian brides are planning on having a destination wedding.
With the total number of destination weddings more than doubled since
2009.
The survey also revealed that the Bahamas has been the most popular
Honeymoon destination for Canadian since 2010. See the 2014 Weddingbells Bridal Survey
Vinincia Strachan, Manage of Romantic Travel at the Bahamas Tourist
Office in Canada, says that now is the perfect time to promote the
Island of the Bahamas to Canadian as a weddings and Honeymoon
destination. An opportunity that the Bahamas will be taking advantage of
when they roll out the Canadian version of it's 16 Weddings 16 Island
Promotion in 2015.
