Bahamas delegation in Haiti for Carifesta

HAITI -- The
delegation of The Bahamas to the Caribbean wide cultural festival
called Carifesta was warmly welcomed at their signature performance in
Petionville, Port Au Prince, Haiti on Saturday evening 22nd August. The
group led by Percy " Vola" Francis, consultant to the Ministry of
Tourism and head of the Saxon Superstars, included the Rhythm Band
directed by Rueben Deleveaux, Metellus Chipman, as the Obeah Man and Leroy Butler, the Limbo Dancer. There is a delegation of 43 people.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell is heading the official
delegation. Dr. Linda Moxey Brown is heading as the Director of Culture
for The Bahamas. The delegation returns to Nassau on Monday.
