Bahamas – Well-known Bahamian basketball player Mychal "Sweet Bells" Thompson
launched the The Mychal Thompson Foundation at the Eight Mile Rock School Gym
on Saturday, July 18, to assist Bahamian youth in achieving academic and
athletic dreams.
Speaking on behalf of
Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville, Mr. Harcourt Brown, Undersecretary of the
Ministry for Grand Bahama encouraged young people to take advantage of this
awesome opportunity.
Waltiea Rolle, former WNBA player, was the special guest at
the launch. She told the young people to
stay focused and never give up on their dreams.
