The Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) and the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) are saddened to confirm the loss of Trained Clinical Nurse Gena Collie. TCN Collie passed away June 17th, 2021, at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
After completing the Trained Clinical Nurse program, TCN Collie was deployed to the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre where she enjoyed a stellar career for eighteen years. She served throughout the institution including the Geriatric Hospital (Cruickshank Ward), Sandilands Hospital (Female Ward, Robert Smith Ward), new Eloise Penn Ward and ultimately, the Podlewski Ward from 2019 to 2021.
Those who worked with her describe Ms. Collie as pleasant, mature, jovial and a team player. Ms. Collie was one who anticipated her patients’ needs and was always willing to assist whenever necessary. She displayed a positive attitude while caring for her patients. She worked well with her colleagues, always smiling, and bringing positive energy wherever she went.
The Board of Directors, Senior Executives and the entire PHA family joins the Sandilands Family in offering heartfelt condolences to Lyndira (daughter) and Daron (son) and other relatives, friends, and colleagues of TCN Gena Collie. May her soul rest in peace.
