Nassau, New Providence - Dolphin Encounters-Project B.E.A.C.H. is a non-profit association that provides unique marine educational opportunities to local school children and teachers. To fulfill this mission, Project B.E.A.C.H. has developed innovative methods of reaching out to the community in an effort to develop a greater appreciation of our beautiful environment and to bridge the gap in the lack of resources available to schools in the Bahamas.

Saturday, September 19th 2015 has been designated as International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICC). The Coastal Cleanup is the largest event of its kind held globally on an annual basis. The area designated for this year is South Beach.

In the last 7 years, in the Bahamas alone 3,000 volunteers cleared 72,000 items of trash from waterways and surrounding areas from New Providence. We hope that members of the community will again be out in full force this year to take an active role in caring for their marine environment.

Like all grass root movements, the continued success of the International Coastal Cleanup depends on the participation of businesses like yours. We are expecting hundreds of volunteers on that day and would like for your company to partner with us in providing supplies to keep everyone energized and productive on that day. We hope you will join us this year in our efforts to make more Bahamians aware of their environment and the importance of preserving and protecting it by donating much needed supplies to support our efforts. We are hoping to have an online article written.

We thank you in advance to your favorable response, and we look forward to hearing from you. For further information or details please contact myself at any of the contact information below or Linzi Knowles Belton at 363-7180 ext.318/303; linzi@dolphinencounters.com
