The Officers and Representatives of the Nassau, Bahamas Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. will come together on December 6 th 2007 in "A Celebration of NPHC Nation Builders". During this occasion, we will pay tribute to some of the leaders in the fraternal movement in The Bahamas. In addition, Mr. Errol Bodie will be installed as the 2008-2010 Council President.
The Honourable Phenton O. Neymour, M.P. – Minister of State for Public Utilities and Mr. Brensil Rolle, M.P . – Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Housing & National Insurance will be honoured as "Greeks in Politics Awardees". Mr. Neymour is a Past President of the Local Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Mr. Rolle is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
The highlight of the evening will be naming of Mr. Peter LeRoy Mitchell, Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., as the 2007 (3 rd) Recipient of The Bahamas Greek Hall of Fame. This honour is being bestowed on Mr. Mitchell in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the fraternal movement in The Bahamas and his role in the community as a nation builder.
The event will be held on Thursday, December 6th, 2007 – 7pm, Royal Bahamas Police Force – Conference Centre, East Street. All Fraternity and Sorority members are invited to attend. The reception is open to the general public.
