Senator Forbes-Smith heads PM's office in Grand Bahama

In a memorable swearing in ceremony at Government House yesterday evening, Senator Kay Forbes-Smith was assigned by Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham as Parliamentary Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister in Grand Bahama with responsibility for Bahamas Information Services and ZNS.

Senator Forbes–Smith was among a number of high-ranking Government officials who were duly sworn in as Ministers of State, Parliamentary Secretaries and Senators.

She is an avid sportswoman and is also a former Free National Movement (FNM) Senator, who hails from West End, Grand Bahama.

Senator Forbes-Smith has held various positions in the private sector and in Local Government and has been long active in the FNM party.
