Paradise Island, The Bahamas -
What started out as a love for music and simply having fun jamming
with buddies led Greg Grunberg and his friends to an unusual place:
packed venues playing rock and roll for charitable causes! This popular band 'with a cause',
Band from TV performed in The Bahamas at Atlantis on August 8th.
The
Band From TV featured regular on vocals Bob Guiney who appeared on The Bachelor
and is currently seen on TLC's 'Date My House';
Australian actor and violinist
Jesse Spencer currently starring in the FOX hit 'House'; and rounding out the band this time was American comedian and actor, Jorge Garcia of "Lost"; actress, journalist, TV presenter, Maria Menounos; English female pop singer, Louise Griffith; actor, Rebecca Budig; American actor and director, Adrian Pasdar; and actor, Haylie Duff.
The general idea behind the band is to create celebrity bands that serve as a platform for raising money for
charitable causes. "Band From TV" is all about giving, with the
majority of the money raised from gigs.
Bob Guiney
supports The Art of Elysium, Jesse Spencer supports The Indiana University-Kenya Partnership.
While
they may be talented actors, the band is truly about celebrating music, living the
rock and roll fantasy and having fun while bringing classic rock and
roll music to life.
