Hon. Daniel Johnson on the Passing of Percival Sweeting

Nassau, Bahamas - The following is a statement by the Minister of Youth, Sports & Culture, Dr. Daniel Johnson:

I join the fraternity of Bahamian musicians, entertainers and performers mourning the untimely passing of Mr. Percival Sweeting, President of The Bahamas Musicians and Entertainers Union.

My ministry values his contributions to the formulation of policy relative to culture, entertainment, special events and promotions. Mr. Sweeting had a concern about developing the now and next generation of Bahamian talent and entertainers.

To his dear wife, Mrs. Patricia Sweeting and the family, I extend the sympathy of a grateful people and entertainment community.

May he rest in peace.
