Writer, director, producer, advisor, mentor, journalist, entrepreneur, businesswoman, college student, wife and mother – these are just a few of the roles Regina Whylly has is balancing in her busy life and on April 22, she’ll add talk show host to her already extensive repertoire.
A woman with a passion for helping other women bring out the best in themselves and discovering their inner potential, Whylly is geared up and ready to go with her show The Whole Woman which will premier on ZNS at 9:30pm on Tuesday, April 22nd.
“It’s been a long time coming,” sighs Mrs. Whylly with her infectious yet genuine smile. “I’ve always wanted to be a journalist and I’ve always wanted to have my own show but more than anything I’ve wanted to provide an avenue for women to get together and understand that we have to look after each other instead of bringing each other down. We have to understand our bodies, we have to understand the dependency others have on us as wives and mothers, we have to understand that we are our sisters’ keepers and that if we have sisterly support we will be able to stand and achieve. Whether we are facing births, miscarriages, the loss of our spouses and parents, the failure or success of our businesses or relationships and just need a little pick me up we have to help each other. I plan to do my part to help women who are suffering physically and mentally. Together, I believe we make up the whole woman.”
These are just some of the topics Mrs. Whylly plans to cover in her upcoming show. The show features a theme song by Bahamian songstress Alia Coley, weekly legal tips by founder of Kingdom Women In Business and attorney Melisa Hall, life coaching with Michelle Miller, a lifestyle segment, a health segment and a Woman on the Move segment featuring entrepreneurs. It’s hard to believe that this show nearly didn’t come to fruition.
“This journey has been one of trials and tribulations,” said Mrs. Whylly. “There were times when I thought failure was inevitable but I had to learn that God was my source and I had to be reminded that I am doing this for him and not for me. It may not come when you want but it will happen right in the nick of time and the time is right. I look back and think of how so much of it was done by me and by me alone. I wrote scripts, I directed and produced, scouted guests and locations, handled wardrobe, hair styling, did marketing, sales and still came home to my husband of
over 20 years, my teenage daughter, my active son and all of my close friends who call me up to share their lives. I believe that my friendships and gift to listen and provide sound advice is the real reason why God used me to bring this show to life. I know that I was put on this earth to help improve the lives of women and I am going to follow my calling.”
The Whole Woman
is scheduled to air Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30pm and on Sunday at 5:00pm on ZNS. For more information e-mail Mrs. Whylly at jenno@coralwave.com or www.thewholewoman.net.
