Flying Fish Continues Its Run!
May 22, 2014 - 5:02:06 PM
Summer is quickly approaching here at Flying Fish. The warm weather is upon us and that means patio season is at its height. It has been a very hectic and rewarding past few months and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who make this possible. To all our valued guests, both local and visitor, thank you for continuing to support Flying Fish. Without your patronage we would not have made it through
our first 2 years.
As summer approaches we always like to do things to let our guests enjoy the beauty of our setting and the incredible weather our piece of paradise provides. So once again Chef Tim will be heading out to the patio every Wednesday night to shuck fresh off the plane oysters. Happy hour starts at 5pm. Come enjoy
Oyster night every Wednesday for the summer season!
Chef Tim recently was a guest chef/mentor at the
Minority Chef Summit held in Nassau a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful event with celebrity chefs from around the world and a few great Bahamas based chefs as well. The event was created to support the culinary program at the The College Of The Bahamas, a program which is very important to the hospitality industry here in the Bahamas. Chef Tim was very excited to both meet and learn from these great chefs as well as teach and mentor the young student chefs. It was an amazing week.
Flying Fish is incredibly excited to announce that we have been chosen by AAA/CAA to receive their
Four Diamond Award rating. Flying Fish is the first restaurant in Grand Bahama history to earn this award. There are currently only 28 restaurants in the Caribbean with this award. We thank AAA for this great honor and we strive to maintain this standard going forward.
More good news came this week as Flying Fish received a
Certificate Of Excellence from TripAdvisor.com. The travel review website is highly considered the premier personal review site in the world for hotels and restaurants. This award is very meaningful because it reflects the reviews of actual diners who have enjoyed their experiences here at Flying Fish over the past year. We thank them for the positive feedback and we hope you can join us again!
