Nassau, Bahamas - Producer of the new film, Singularity Principle, Robert Deranian has decided to shoot the last scenes of the film in Nassau. Shooting started last year in Australia and Canada.

Synopsis: Singularity Principle is a feature length science-fiction film about the consequences of renegade experiments into Parallel Universes.  Co-written and directed (with Austin Hines) by physicist Dr. David Deranian, the film pays particular attention to accurate scientific detail and uses the fascinating science of parallel universes to bring audiences a story that will both illuminate and entertain.

The story starts off with the disappearance of noted scientist Professor Jack Brenner (John Diehl) during a fateful parallel universe experiment.  Jack's protege, Dr. Peter Tanning (Michael Denis) is being interrogated by Dr. Lawrence Cason (William B. Davis) of a clandestine Black-Ops Agency to learn about the experiment and to find out what happened to Jack Brenner.  Lawrence makes it clear that he wants to know everything about the experiment, including how parallel universes can be manipulated.

The story unfolds with Peter describing the events of the experiment up to the fateful day where Jack Brenner disappears.  Lawrence pushes Peter relentlessly to tell what happened but also recounts his own past with Jack Brenner.  This is all in an effort to persuade Peter to work for the Agency, continuing his research for the Agency's interests which involve controlling gateways to, and the people in, other universes.

The filmmakers of Singularity Principle are excited to be working with Big Screen Entertainment Group for the promotion and distribution of this ground breaking science-fiction film on Parallel Universes.

David Deranian, PhD (co-writer/co-director/co- producer on Singularity Principle) is a scientist working in the area of computational physics when he is not writing, directing, and producing films. His written works include film scripts, newspaper/magazine articles, grant proposals, technical articles, press releases, copy, editorials, and novels.  Much of David's writing and filmmaking originates from a rational scientific view of the world.  He has come to realize that science and art can be connected through creativity, as an exploration of truth revealed.  For David Deranian, it is writing and filmmaking that provide a gateway to imagination and the truth that waits to be discovered.

Austin Hines (co-writer/co-director/co- producer on Singularity Principle) is a director, editor, and actor who has been in the TV/Film production world since 2002.  Starting out as a freelance editor, Austin went on to direct Liberation Commission a feature documentary film shot over a summer in London and Ireland, that is a first-person narrative about a troubled young man confronting his past and inner self through the political arena known as Speaker’s Corner.  Austin has worked on several television programs including an original show Building With History, a 22 episode series on missionaries shot in Africa and India, and Fed Up! – a health and wellness show.

John Diehl (role of Professor Jack Brenner on Singularity Principle) is an actor whose career has spanned over 30 years covering a variety of roles from delinquents, wackos and psychos in his earlier years to fine screen character roles presently.  John's career began in the early 80s with roles in movies such as Escape from New York (1981) and Stripes (1981).  In 1984 he landed the role of Detective Larry Zito in the hit TV series Miami Vice.  Since then John has continued to develop his acting career, appearing in over 80 films and making over 40 guest appearances on TV including the hit shows Mental, Friday Night Lights, and Cold Case.  John's notable film credits include The Client (1994), A Time to Kill (1996), Stargate (1994), Nixon (1995), Pearl Harbor (2001) and Jurassic Park III (2001).

Michael Denis (role of Dr. Peter Tanning on Singularity Principle) is an actor/writer who learned early on as the fourth of five children to embellish and exaggerate the details of stories at an early age - "If it wasn't damn interesting and told well, you were cut off by someone else's story before yours got its legs on the ground."  A graduate of the Film, Theater, and Creative Writing Program at the University of British Columbia, Michael has since landed acting parts on the hit TV shows - Fringe, Smallville, and Supernatural.  A writer at heart, Michael brings relevance of story to each and every acting role he plays.

Kallie Jean Sorensen (role of Lyndi Tanning on Singularity Principle) is an talented young actress and stunt woman.  Recently emerging on the Vancouver BC scene with a degree in Theater Performance from the University of Saskatchewan and the United Stuntmens Associaton International Stunt School, she is an actress that likes to do her own stunts.  This, plus her good looks and dedication to acting, point Kallie towards a successful career in TV and film.
