NAGB Art Teachers Workshop: New Date & Schedule

The Art Teacher's Workshop originally scheduled for January 29, 2008 has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2008, 9:45am to 5pm at the National Art Gallery.  The Workshop is FREE to teachers but space is limited.

This workshop is for Art Teachers and Teachers who incorporate the arts into their teaching curriculum. Teachers ONLY!!!

10:00am  Welcome: Overview and Goals of the Programme

10:15am Tour of Exhibition Twist of Fate: Dave Smith 1975-1989 with the Artist Dave Smith

11:00am Tour of Exhibition Developing Blackness with Curator Dr. Krista Thompson

11:45am How can we be of Assistance? 
Introduction to Present and Future Resources at the National Art Gallery for Educators. Penelope Nottage, Art Librarian of the NAGB

12:15pm Working Lunch 
Introduction to Bahamian Art History Text and Teacher's Guide. Erica James, Director of the NAGB
Teacher Feedback

2:00pm  Visit to local Galleries and Art Spaces that are part of the Transforming Spaces 2008 Art Tour.
(This will occur via bus) 

4:45pm Return to the National Art Gallery. Receipt of Certificates of Participation.
