Bluff House Beach Resort & Marina is accepting resumes for the position of General Manager. Bluff House is a boutique resort located on the island of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco,The Bahamas.  Bluff House’s 12 tropical acres span across the width of Green Turtle from the Sea of Abaco to White Sound and consists of a waterfront bar and restaurant, beach bar overlooking our private beach, 46 slip full-service marina, gift shop, and eight luxury, waterfront hotel suites.

3 - 5 years resort management experience as a GM is preferred. Prior management of a Bahamian property is a plus. You will be responsible for all resort day-to-day operations, must have significant experience in F&B services and will play a role in revenue management, sales efforts, and room operations for the property.

Requirements:

•     Demonstrate hands on leadership with knowledge and proficiency.

•     Develop and implement appropriate sales, marketing and revenue strategies to support the growth of this very special property.

•     Direct accountability for budget, P&L, sale and revenue management for the Restaurants, Bars, Hotel, Gift Shop and Marina.

•     Experience in food inventory and cost control, scheduling and purchasing.

•     Verify, prepare and submit reports/monthly projections as required.

•     Establish effective systems for cash, inventory and payroll procedures.

•     Coordinate with Front Desk, Restaurants, Bars, Marina, Hotel, Gift Shop, Maintenance, and Accounting, ensuring consistency in service and product.

•     Set clear expectations with employees and provide appropriate support.

•     Manage owner relationships, oversee the financial and operational performance of the property.

•     Proficiency with RoomMaster software a must. Good computer skills required. Working knowledge of Quickbooks a plus.

•     Provide a positive work environment and safeguard traditions inherent to Bluff House’s 60-year history of first-class guest services.
