Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - When Drew Palacious was named winner of the inaugural Manhunt Bahamas in 2012 he opened a doorway to inspire other Bahamian young males to enter. After earning the right to represent his country, he traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to compete in Manhunt International 2012 where he was proudly awarded the title of "Mister Personality" among more than 50 contestants.  Drew got The Bahamas noticed! Several of the international pageant sites had him picked as a favourite to win. He made The Bahamas proud.

Shortly after, Manhunt Bahamas' 1st runner-up, Pedro Mejias also traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to compete in the Mister International contest where 71 countries competed.

We can all agree that these two young men have developed into role models for many to follow, as they have exuded strong character, charisma, and put in great performances. They both have futures ignited by their personal development and their experiences from these competitions.

"We are excited to commence our second year for Manhunt Bahamas," said Oswald Ellis, Manhunt International Bahamas franchise owner, "and in the upcoming months we will introduce our 2013 contestants models that have been screened and selected."  Six models representing different aspects of Bahamian life and culture are vying for the opportunity to wear the titles and represent The Bahamas on the international stage.  The mold of a 'perfect male model' comes in a variety of different looks, and based on the market preference, a career can skyrocket over night.

So ladies and gents, here we go!  Our first model Douglas Antonio Cash is a skilled diver by profession from Harbour Island (Briland), Eleuthera, whose career provides him with daily interaction with hundreds of people through the vibrant tourism industry.

This 25 year old stands 6 ft 3 inches and weighs 170 lbs, and has always had a desire to model, taking every opportunity to get into the business, even having his body fully painted for last year's
"VOGA: Vision of the Gifted Artist" show in Nassau.  He says he's now ready to enter the glamorous world of fashion modeling, and brings to the runway his rugged good looks and dreadlocks, and is looking forward to showing his own brand of style on the stage at “The Ultimate Girls Night Out”.

If you like what you see, all of our fans will get a chance to be heard when we launch our “People’s Choice" voting in July, one month prior to the competition in August.

Let the hunt begin…
