Could you be the NEXT Miss Universe Bahamas?
Applications to enter the 2013 Miss Universe Bahamas pageant are now being accepted!

Are you eligible?

Accepting naturally born females between the ages of 17 and 24 who are of Bahamian ancestry, or who are citizens of The Bahamas may enter the Miss Bahamas Beauty Pageant. Contestants must be at least 17 years old by Coronation Night. However, all women crowned queen must be at least 18 years old and under 24 by February 1st in the year that follows their coronation.

The Miss Bahamas Organization cordially invites you to participate in a screening process scheduled for Saturday June 15th, 2013 at 3pm at The Balmoral on Sanford Drive on this day we will answer all questions and concerns you may have.

However, you will need to bring with you the following documents and items:

Most recent Police Record
Passport
Birth Certificate
Two character references
Application Fee of $100 (note: this fee is non-refundable)
Swimsuit  & Heels

Please be advised that our screening is usually televised.  Please come prepared for the camera, meaning kindly dress appropriately.

If you are successfully selected to be a delegate in this years competition, please pay special attention to your emails as we communicate via email at all times with our contestants.

THIS IS A CLOSE DOOR SCREENING. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE OTHER THAN APPLICANTS AND MISS BAHAMAS MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED.

Candidates must be single, must not have children, nor have ever been pregnant or given birth. Minimum height requirement is 5' 5" and maximum height requirement is 6' 2". Weight must be proportionate to height. Candidates must be beautiful in face and figure, intelligent, and charming, while possessing poise, a pleasing character, and high moral convictions. The Miss Bahamas Organization reserves the right to refuse an application or dismiss a contestant, using the Organization's codes and regulations as the basis for its decision.

Former winners of the Miss Bahamas title are NOT eligible to compete again.
At-large delegates who do not win the Miss Bahamas title may re-enter the Miss Bahamas finals each year. Prior placement or lack of placement, in the top 5 of the finals has no bearing. Winners of a preliminary pageant are NOT eligible to re-compete in the SAME pageant. However, they may re-enter the national pageant as an at-large delegate once they have fulfilled their contractual obligations as specified by the rules and regulations stipulated in the preliminary pageant.

The Miss Bahamas Pageant is open to all delegates regardless of title, affiliate ties, or pageant system, as long as they meet the requirements of the Miss Bahamas Pageant. If a titleholder wishes to compete in The Miss Bahamas Finals, said delegate may do so. It is understood said delegate has permission for use of title and likeness from director or affiliate. Said title will be used for identification purposes on The Miss Bahamas Pageant web site and in The Miss Bahamas Pageant program.

The Miss Bahamas Organization Board of Directors shall determine all issues regarding eligibility. Entrant agrees to abide by this determination both as to her and others. Entrant agrees to produce an original copy of her birth certificate to verify age or gender upon request. The Miss Bahamas Organization reserves the right to refuse entry into the Miss Bahamas Pageant to anyone for any reason.
