Grand Bahama Island - The Harvest Foundation is a non-profit charity which exists to see the hungry fed, the hurting comforted, the uneducated given a hand up, and the poor profit. It exists to break the cycle of poverty.
Currently we are sponsoring a group of 17 from Ashville, North Carolina, This group have come prepared with open hearts to teach and minister to the communities of Lewis Yard, Pinders Point and Hawksbill. The highlights of this week are to teach the residents, sewing, computer skills, arts and crafts, while combining Worship through Christian song, skits and music. A daily program of fellowship is a significant part of this week.
The Harvest Foundation wishes to thank the Church of the Good Shepard for allowing us the use of their facilities. Also the Presbyterian Kirk for it's organisation and leadership through support and volunteers.
The day begins at 9am and runs through until 5. Meals are supplied for all those who attend the daily sessions. Our arms are open in welcome to those who wish to be a part of this week of learning, growing and making new friends.
Our team is here from today Monday the 23rd February to Friday the 27th. Bring a smile on your face, an eagerness in your heart, and we will do the rest.
