Bahamas American Football Federation select Junior Players for IFAF 2009 Qualifiers

The Bahamas American Football Federation (BAFF) announced the FIRST 25 PLAYERS to BAFF Team Bahamas to fill the possible 75 player roster for the IFAF 2009 Junior World Championship Qualification Tournament games, beginning in Panama City, Panama on January 24, 2009.
The Bahamas will play Mexico on Saturday, January 24 in Panama City, whereupon the winner of that game will play a follow-up game in Mexico on Saturday, February 14, 2009. These games will serve as a qualifier for the major Junior World Championship, which will take place in Canton, Ohio in July of next year.

JWC games between the world’s eight best high school-aged (19 and under) national teams from four continents will be played on Saturday, June 27 and continue on Wednesday, July 1 and Saturday, July 4, before the Championship Game on Sunday, July 5. The United States qualified automatically as host along with number one seed Canada. Germany, Sweden and France will fly Europe’s flag, while Japan will represent Asia. Either Australia or New Zealand and one from Mexico, Panama or the Bahamas will complete the tournament field.
