COVID-19 Travel Risk Advisory Rating Lowered for The Bahamas - Dec 21, 2021 - 5:15:20 PM
The Ministry of Health and Wellness advises the public that the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has lowered the COVID-19 Travel
Risk Advisory Rating for The Bahamas, from Level 3 (high), down to
Level 2 (moderate).
According to the CDC; a level 2 rating
advises international travelers to be fully vaccinated before coming to
The Bahamas. It also advises that unvaccinated travelers who are at
increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19...

Upon coming to office, the new government appointed a Cabinet
sub-committee led by the Deputy Prime Minister, that includes the
Minister for Grand Bahama, the Minister for Economic Affairs, and the
Attorney General; to explore options to expedite the redevelopment of
the Grand Lucayan Resort.
We examined the current deal the former
administration negotiated and came to the conclusion that the way it

Canada's resumption of service to Exuma on Sunday afternoon, December
19, 2021 after a year of suspension. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister

Senator Randy Rolle, MOTIA Permanent Secretary Reginald Saunders, Deputy

Chantel O'Brian today: Miss O'Brian has been congratulated for being
selected to the Top 10 of the Miss Universe Pageant on Sunday. She was

of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg, and Mrs. Ann Marie
Davis, of the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister. A motorcade

Dr. Hamid Seyfi departing Grand Bahama - Dec 14, 2021 - 3:30:07 PM
Clinical and interventional cardiologist, Dr. Hamid Seyfi, expresses his
sincere gratitude to Dr. Patrick L. Cargill for the opportunity to work
on Grand Bahama Island.
Due to pressing matters back home in
Venezuela, Dr. Seyfi has had to curtail his plans on making Grand Bahama
home for he and family at this time. Although he hasn't made any plans
to return, Dr. Seyfi describes his departure as more of a hopefully I‘ll

Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey pledged to use every
resource available to get things done on the island: the Minister was
giving brief remarks during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held at
the Harold DeGregory Building on the front lawn, December 9. The
evening was festive with entertainment by Lady Martin on the violin,
Tanario Lewis performing a few solos, and with highlight of the evening
the singing of 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' by the choir of the
Ministry for Grand Bahama, led by Permanent Secretary Harcourt Brown and
accompanied by Kevin Tomlinson. Also joining the choir was Minister
Moxey.

The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (GBPA) as the regulatory
authority with responsibility for the utility sector in Grand Bahama and
oversight of the Grand Bahama Utility Company Limited (GBUC), has
completed the necessary framework required to declare that GBUC now
