A Heartfelt Send-Off for Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Peter Deveaux-Isaacs - Feb 16, 2022 - 5:16:37 PM
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, February 14, held a special
farewell reception for Permanent Secretary Mr. Peter Deveaux-Isaacs, Sr.
After over 30 years in the Public Service, Mr. Deveaux-Isaacs entered
retirement, leaving behind a legacy of stellar service to the country.
During the reception Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service
the Hon. Fred Mitchell thanked Mr. Deveaux-Isaacs for his contribution
to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his selfless dedication to The
Bahamas at home and abroad.

Excellency Omar Ghobash.

IDB gives UB-North a $500,000 grant - Feb 16, 2022 - 10:51:25 AM
The University of The Bahamas, North, announced February 4, 2022 that
the university has received a grant of $500,000 from the Inter-American
Development Bank (IDB) as part of a Technical Cooperation Agreement
intended to create a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Grand
Bahama. The announcement was made during a press conference at the
Grand Lucayan.

The National Training Agency (NTA) held an orientation for its latest
group of participants, COHORT 19, February 15, 2022 at its Gladstone
Road offices. The group was addressed by the Hon. Lisa Rahming,

Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Hon. Mario Bowleg told
junkanoo leaders in Grand Bahama that at the end of the day, Grand
Bahama needs to establish its own Junkanoo committee, in order to
advance its culture in that city.

PAHO Helping Bahamas in Climate Change Resilience - Feb 5, 2022 - 11:29:52 PM
PAHO
is working with the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the Department of
Environmental Planning and Protection to implement a project: “Strengthening
Climate Resilient Health Systems in The Bahamas”. The expected product is the
completion of the health chapter of the National Adaptation Plan (HNAP). It is part
of a larger regional project - EU/ CARIFORUM Climate Change and Health Project,
of which the country is a beneficiary.
