Freeport, The Bahamas - The committee for the Ft. Lauderdale
Film Festival (FLIFF) on Grand Bahama announces the first
GRAND BAHAMA
YOUTH FILM COMPETITION for Grand Bahamians between the ages of 14 and
18 years old.
Entries will be accepted beginning May 1st
through August 1st
, 2011.
FLIFF on Grand Bahama will take place
from October 26th through October 30th. It will
be the very first time an international film festival has come to Grand
Bahama and the Committee is using this opportunity to open this exciting
event to Grand Bahama’s young people. The festival will take place
at the Pelican Bay Hotel’s new conference center, The Canal House,
which will be turned into a multi-theatre complex for the event...

CALL FOR FILMS - The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival
(FLIFF) is heading to Grand Bahama and will feature Bahamian-made films at
FLIFF On-Location: Grand Bahama Island.
FLIFF, now in its 26th year, is
scheduled to be held October 22 to November 11.FLIFF On-Location: Grand Bahama Island will be held October
27 to 30. This offshoot event is the brainchild of The Bahamas Ministry of
Tourism & Aviation, and the Grand Bahama Tourism Board in conjunction with
the organizers of FLIFF. The idea was sparked following the premiere of a
sequel (Beneath the Blue) that was, along with its original, shot on the
island, featured at FLIFF in 2009...

Bahamas - On November 8th, the Grand Bahama Ministry of Tourism in
partnership with the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF)
held the Bahamas premiere of
Beneath the Blue, a film shot entirely on location at Smith Point, Grand Bahama Island.

Locally shot film, Beneath the Blue has its Bahamas premiere - Nov 11, 2010 - 1:16:29 PM
Freeport, Bahamas -
Thanks to a collaboration between the Fort Lauderdale International Film
Festival (FLIFF) and the Grand Bahama Ministry of Tourism a Bahamas
premiere screening of Beneath the Blue, a family film shot in Grand
Bahama Island was held on November 8th at the Regency Theatre.
Beneath
the Blue is the sequel to Eye of the Dolphin, and Bahamian Leah Eneas,
one of the actors attended the screening, along with one of the film's
producer's, Paul Mockler. Mockler is a resident of Grand Bahama and
world renown for his underwater camera work. The film is visually
stunning with most of the scenes taking place in or off the Smith's
Point area, as well as at the UNEXSO dolphin sanctuary...

Bahamas Film Commission partners with FLIFF to screen "Beneath the Blue" in Grand Bahama - Oct 15, 2010 - 10:30:36 AM
The Grand Bahama
Film Office and Grand Bahama Tourist Office have partnered with Ft. Lauderdale
International Film Festival, ( FLIFF) to promote the screening of
Beneath the Blue in Grand Bahama Island, where the film was shot.
The
film will screen at FLIFF as well as in The Bahamas on Monday, November
8th at 8pm in the Regency Theatre. The event is free to FLIFF festival
goers who make the trip over from Florida.
Bahamian cast member, Leah Eneas will be present at the screening along with the film's director, Michael Sellers...
