Former TCI premier Michael Misick's family appeals for him to be returned home - Jan 10, 2013 - 1:07:15 AM
Family members of
Michael Misick, former Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands have
broken their silence and are appealing for local and international
support to have him returned home.
In a letter sent
exclusively to the SUN newspaper, one of Misick's sisters Alith Misick
Gardiner, said her brother is "crying out for help" as he was
arrested unlawfully and his human rights are being violated.
She stated: "Mike is
being made to suffer in one of the worst prisons in the world even
though he was never charged with any crime. He left the island without
being questioned by Special Investigation and Prosecution...

Nassau, Bahamas - On
Monday, October 1, the U.S. Embassy in Nassau held a formal opening ceremony
for its remodeled Consular Agency office in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (TCI). While a Consular Agent has been
performing consular work in Providenciales since May 2011, the opening of the
Consular Agency office marks the
establishment of the first “brick-and-mortar” presence of the U.S. Embassy in TCI.
On hand
for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony were U.S. Chargé d’Affaires John
Dinkelman, Commander of U.S. Coast Guard District Seven Rear Admiral William
Baumgartner, and His Excellency Governor Roderick Todd. During the

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands - Cap Haitien International Airport (CAP), the second busiest airport
in Haiti - is to close temporarily for three days due to runway repair.
The airport will close tomorrow, Saturday, 22nd September at 2pm and
reopens on Tuesday, 25th September. As the redevelopment work
progresses, we expect that there will be more closures and we will
endeavor to keep our customers notified of such service interruptions as

her second tour of duty with the Organising Committee for the FIFA U-20

16th, where she was based three weeks.
