concerned over the announcement from the Advisory Council of the Interim

Council at yesterday’s session on Grand Turk, Wednesday 4 July. Acting
Governor Patrick Boyle headed the session which saw the Bill passed to

has filed documents in the High Court here, seeking to “pull down and
destroy” the headquarters of the Progressive National Party (PNP) in
addition to the repayment of nearly half-million dollars which the state
says the party owes for illegally constructing the building on Crown
land.
The announcement of the demolition of the PNP headquarters was contained
in a Government press release which was issued Tuesday March 20th, a
day after the Special Investigation and Prosecution Team (SIPT) said it
had secured an international arrest warrant through INTERPOL for former
Premier and ex-PNP leader Michael Misick, who has since revealed that he

Michael Misick calls for inquiry into interim government in Turks & Caicos - Mar 19, 2012 - 11:52:06 AM
Former Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands Michael Misick has
called on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Foreign
Affairs Committee (FAC) in the United Kingdom (UK) to launch a
Commission of Inquiry in the activities of the Interim Administration
from August 2009 when they assumed direct rule in the Turks and Caicos
Islands.
In a strongly-worded media statement, Misick said there are several
aspects and activities of the UK-appointed Interim Administration that
need to be investigated. He also said that despite being in office for
three years, the Interim Government continues to wrongfully blame his
former Progressive National Party (PNP) Government for the current state
of the economy as a means of divert attention from the mis-doings of UK
officials here.

Controversy at Provo, Turks & Caicos Airport - Mar 10, 2012 - 3:35:15 PM
A major controversy that is taking place at the Providenciales
International Airport, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, could be headed
for the law courts. The row has to do with the decision by the Turks and
Caicos Islands Airport Authority (TCIAA) to enter into a joint-venture
agreement with a US company, Servisair, to provide ground handling
services at the Providenciales International Airport.
Albray Butterfield Jnr. of TCA Handling, Lyndon Gardiner of Air Turks
and Caicos/Provo Air Centre and Shaun Malcolm and Joshua Harvey of Sky
Blue Aviation, have all expressed outrage about this move by the TCIAA.
They are even more upset about the fact that their appeals to Governor
Ric Todd, Attorney General Huw Shepheard and the Interim Government are
not being given urgent...

Royal S. Robinson, MBE: The statutory theft of $10m from the Turks and Caicos Islands National insurance Board - Feb 10, 2012 - 7:00:24 AM
I really did not think that we in the Turks and Caicos
Islands could possibly be back in the dark ages when the king could make a
decree without consulting his people and that became the law of the land.
With Governor Ric Todd, we seem to have reached that backward
point once again in our country. How in heaven’s name can this man think that
he could just say that he is doing something in our best interest and do it
without even our “say so”?
There must be a fixation with the number $10M by these guys.
First of all, the Turks and Caicos Investment Agency (TC Invest) has to be
closed because of the potential for Government to have a $10M liability on its
hands and then there is the owing of Government by NIB of $10M for injury
related expenses; so they say!

Turks & Caicos Government wins $9million Emerald Cay judgment - Feb 6, 2012 - 11:12:24 PM
Turks and Caicos Sun: The Turks and Caicos Islands has won a $9.29 million judgment against a
former U.S. billionaire and timber magnate who founded an
ultra-exclusive resort in the Montana Rockies, officials announced
Wednesday. Chief Justice Edwin Goldsborough ruled that Tim Blixseth, founder of the
Yellowstone Club, helped conceal the true value of his Turks and Caicos
retreat called Emerald Cay and underpaid a stamp duty tax on the
acquisition deal. The Chief Justice ruled that $1.7million is owed in
stamp duty, $6.9million in penalties on stamp duty and $571,118 in
interest on stamp duty owed.
“It simply cannot be the case that fraudulent declaration as to the
value leading to an under-stamping does not attract a penalty when the
true value of the stamping..."
