The BOC is pleased to inform member federations and the general public
that the International Olympic Committee in conjunction with the Bahamas
Olympic Committee will once again host the Young Ambassadors (YA)
Program on the occasion of the second edition of the Summer Youth
Olympic Games (YOG), Nanjing 2014.
The primary role of the YA is
to encourage the athletes to actively participate in a number of
learning experiences that take place in parallel to the competition
program. Building upon the lessons from Singapore and Innsbruck, the
IOC/ BOC is convinced that the role of each YA is central to the success

young “budding” queens that will not only train them for pageantry but

2013 -- The story of the high-tech 30 feet long message-in-a-bottle,
which uploaded pictures while crossing the Atlantic, has gained
attention world wide, but last Sunday the bottle lost its satellite
connection. Now the bottle is in the proximity of the Caribbean islands
and the company behind the project is asking people in the area to keep a
look out.
The giant bottle was released to the ocean currents

Educa Vision is
seeking submissions for a new children's book collection. We are
producing a collection of picture books for children ages 5-9. The
stories in these books should be fictional and lighthearted; they may be
either original or retellings of folktales. They should have some
connection to Haiti, whether they take place there or are connected in
some other way.
The books will be published in Haitian Creole, but manuscripts may be written in Creole, French or English.
