Although a $500,000 donation from FTX to Lend A Hand Bahamas is a
show stopper, other Bahamas-based likeminded corporations and charitable
foundations have also donated generously to the building of a new
community center on Lewis Street in Bain and Grants Town.
In
the lead up to the ground breaking on March 9th, the non-profit
organization received donations from Leslie Bacardi of the Contigo
Foundation in honor of her late husband, Jorge Bacardi...

Sokoloff of Lyford Cay who has worked closely with its POA to help the

Lend a Hand Bahamas (LAHB) has been a Bahamian nonprofit organization
since October 2014 following the realization of the need for more
opportunities and activities in inner-city areas in Nassau and the
family islands. We are currently directly impacting youth and adults in
the Grant’s Town area of Nassau as well as smaller initiatives on a few
family islands. Lend a Hand Bahamas recently merged forces with another
organization called Lignum Vitae 4-H to facilitate 4-H programming for
youth in the Grant’s Town community through the Neville & Nora
Dorsett Community Center that is nearing completion in Grant’s Town...

Over 100 Florida High School Volunteers Give Back in Grand Bahama - Jun 16, 2017 - 2:01:26 PM
This past week from June
10 to 14th, over 100 Florida high school students who just recently
graduated came to Freeport to celebrate their graduation; however, they
did more than just celebrate.
Over the course of four days from 10 am-2 pm
each day the students volunteered through the Bahamian nonprofit Lend a
Hand Bahamas who coordinated with the YMCA in Freeport and the Grand
Bahama Children's Home to assist in projects including painting,
cleaning, and debris removal.
The students were brought to The Bahamas
through a travel company called S-Trip!

Bahamian organization teams up with South Florida for Hurricane Matthew Relief - Oct 18, 2016 - 2:17:44 PM
Boca Raton, FL - Last week,
in a matter of only four days our volunteers in Southeast Florida
collected supplies to fill a 40 foot shipping container to be sent over
to the Bahamas to aid in the relief effort post Hurricane Matthew. They
loaded up tarps, food, thousands of water bottles, 30,000 bars of soap,
building materials/supplies, clothing, chain saw, and many other items.
The
supplies will be dispersed by
Lend a Hand Bahamas in conjunction with
the Salvation Army this week. The container was provided by
Mr. Christos Tsavoussis and shipped by Laser Freight to Nassau...
