Courtney Robinson joins Air Turks & Caicos as Sales and Marketing Executive

Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands – Courtney Robinson, former director of the Turks & Caicos Islands Government Information Service (TCI GIS), was named sales and marketing executive for Air Turks & Caicos. The position is a new leadership position for the country’s flag carrier. Robinson’s responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s advertising, branding and messaging programs both internally and externally.

“Our expansion demands someone who can focus on the specific needs of relating to the public and business community”, said Deborah Aharon, vice president of business development. “We were determined that this newly-created manager position be filled by a Turks and Caicos Islander and are delighted that Courtney, with all his skills and experience, was willing to take it on.”

Born and raised in the nation’s capital of Grand Turk, Robinson is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science with a Master of Science degree in media and communications regulation and policy. He also earned a First Class honors’ degree in public relations from the University of Westminster in London.

The focus of Robinson’s career spans more than 12 years across various sectors, with international experience in the Turks and Caicos Islands and in New York. He has been responsible for creating and managing various high profile events for a number of government agencies, corporations, nonprofits and charitable organizations as the managing director at Royele Communications Ltd, director of the Turks and Caicos Islands Government Information Service (TCI GIS) and public relations officer with Diva & Adonis Model Management (NYC).

Robinson has organized projects and events for companies including The Grace Bay Club, The Somerset Resort and The Gansevoort Resort along with nonprofits such as the Turks & Caicos Islands Football Association, The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Drive, TCI Red Cross Red & White Party, The National Kidney Foundation fundraising drive and the 2008 post-hurricane Ike and Hanna children’s Christmas parties. Robinson has provided high visibility public relations and marketing initiatives for Le Reve Gala Ball’s Bollywood Dreams and Diamonds are Forever charitable events. He was also the founder and executive producer for the successful TCI Top Model Contest & Fashion Extravaganza, a prestigious and recognizable local event.

Robinson also has direct experience in the aviation industry as well, having served as an assistant air traffic controller and aeronautical information officer with the Department of Civil Aviation.

Robinson will be based in the InterIsland Aviation Services headquarters, which are located adjacent to the main airport in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
