PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands; Tuesday, August, 14th, 2012 – Passengers traveling out of Jamaica are expected to pay a US$20.00 levy on their tickets.

The Airline Passenger Levy of US$20 per passenger takes effect tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15th for tickets purchased on or after the 15th day of August, 2012 for passengers travelling out of Kingston, Jamaica. Only infants are exempt from this tax.

As the national flag carrier of the Turks & Caicos Islands, Air Turks & Caicos would like to inform its customers that this increase is due to a ‘Revised Tax Measures For Jamaica’s Tourism Industry’ and not an increase in airfare by the carrier.
