Freeport, Grand Bahama -  On January 29th, 2016 Kerel Pinder released her first book; “The One Year Challenge.” Pinder says that The One Year Challenge - A new Journey to Love, Purpose & Courtship gives readers a very personal and transparent look into the relationships and experiences that led her to take a year off from dating as well as the ups and downs of what transpired during that year and the restoration God brought to her life at the end of it all.

“At 27 years old, I came to a crossroad in my dating relationship, which after a series of bad decisions, left me feeling broken, rejected and defeated. Fighting to hold onto the woman I am destined to be, I decided to give God the keys to my love life and that year began North Point Ministries founder and author Andy Stanley’s “One Year Challenge!” which involves a complete year of absolutely NO dating. Although this seemed like a radical decision, I reminded myself if I wanted something I never had before; I would have to do something I had never done before,” Pinder shared.

Upon completing her book, Pinder decided that the very first debut of “The One Year Challenge” would be done in her home town of Freeport Grand Bahama. This decision proved to be a success, as there were nearly 200 people in attendance to support this Grand Bahama native in her official launch. Pinder shared “I was so grateful and humbled by the overwhelming support by the Grand Bahama community. I am truly thankful to everyone who took the time out to sew into my purpose; it means more than they will ever know!”

Pinder sought to bring an innovative approach to her book launch, seeking to provide an evening that would have left the audience more excited to read her motivational memoir. The evening was filled with icebreakers, a book preview and a panel of young professionals, who pre-read The One Year Challenge - A new Journey to Love, Purpose & Courtship and were willing to share their experience with the book. This was then followed by a question and answer segment from the audience.

The new author noted that since writing the book many people asked her who exactly should read The One Year Challenge - A new Journey to Love, Purpose & Courtship, and she stated that in all honesty her book like most, does have a target audience and this audience is single men and women, who want to discover more about love, purpose and courtship God’s way.

However Pinder said she really believes although there is a target audience, a lot of non- single readers will still enjoy reading her book. As a matter of fact, she invited several married couples to participate as pre-readers, as she truly believed hearing someone’s transparency about their story could most certainly help anyone find the beauty in their own truth.

Copies of The One Year Challenge - A new Journey to Love, Purpose & Courtship are currently available in Grand Bahama at Kelly’s True Limited and are still available to be signed and purchased at the official launch in Nassau on February 24th at Bahamas Harvest and at Love Yourself Wednesday at the British Colonial Hilton on February 10th, 2016.
