Nassau, Bahamas - Newly appointed
Ambassador of the United States to The Bahamas, Her Excellency Nicole Avant,
recently paid a courtesy call to The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce. Her
Excellency Avant pledged to build on the existing relationship with The
Chamber. The Chamber and U.S. Embassy have a long-established working relationship
and have partnered on several key initiatives and events including the upcoming
Annual Energy Show and the Business Development Seminar and Franchise Show.
Chamber President, Khaalis Rolle, led
discussions with Ambassador Avant on key areas of cooperation between the
business community and The Embassy; both parties reinforced their commitment to
the creation of opportunities for alliances with US businesses and private
sector Bahamas. The Chamber also emphasized their commitment to education and
discussed the creation of its Labor and Education Committee. A leader in
education and having working closely with the University of South California’s
high school mentorship program, Ambassador Avant pledged to assist The Chamber
in its efforts to improve the standard of education in The Bahamas.
