Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands* – The creative genius and son of the soil Kazz Forbes again raised the bar in fashion design and style in the Caribbean. With all his showcases dubbed a smashing success, Forbes has been creating a buzz ever since his debut in the fashion hub of the Americas, New York City.

Forbes, Principal Designer of his *Saint George Fashion House (SGFH)  label was invited to debut his  ‘Red Afrique: Getting to Zero’  and to showcase his Fall/Winter 2011 ‘Le Caicos Chic: A Romance with Decadence’  collections at the  Turks and Caicos AIDS Awareness Foundation (TCAAF) Cocktail Party , which took place on  December 1st 2011,  World AIDS Day,  at the Veranda Resort, Grace Bay, Providenciales.

The Turks and Caicos AIDS Awareness Foundation World AIDS Day Cocktail
Party is a charity fundraiser that sees all proceeds benefiting the operation of the Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre, run by the foundation.

Ecstatic over the triumph of his runway spectacle, Forbes says, “First off, I am thankful for the TCAAF for extending such an opportunity to Saint George Fashion House label. It was a great event for a significant and important cause.

He says “The presentation of ‘Le Caicos Chic: A Romance with Decadence’ and the debuting of ‘Red Afrique: Getting to Zero’ was a huge success. From all indications the collection won rave reviews from the audience. I was very encouraged by the response by the loud applause from the audience as it seems they loved what they saw.

I am impressed with the debut of ‘Red Afrique: Getting to Zero’ collection. It is a collection for a cause that promotes awareness to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The African inspired patterns represent the Black race suffering the most from the HIV/AIDS pandemic, and the designs in the collection are accented with red, symbolizing the pandemic.

After debuting in New York earlier this year, then showcasing in Canada, The Bahamas, and this being my second time showing at home, I went a bit harder with the TCAAF showcase which was the last of SGFH’s 2011 World Debut Tour.”

Forbes went on to thank Caribbean Property Management, Karam and Missick Law at Office, FOTTAC, Tremm Jocale Jewelry, Nikki Turnes Makeup Artistry, Wayne and Christine Douglas, Provo Steel and his horde of models that strutted the eighty feet catwalk, for the success of his TCAAF showcase.

Ms. Jeannie Savory, President of the TCAAF said, “We were delighted that
Kazz Forbes of Saint George Fashion House accepted our invitation to
showcase his creations at our cocktail party. As always, Forbes’ collections were well received and the TCAAF Directors have been flooded with positive feedback. We are overwhelmingly proud of the level of professionalism and drive of Forbes.”
