Nassau, Bahamas - The
Big Screen Art Scene will
take place on
August 28th this year to kick off the Bahamas International
Film Festival's (BIFF) 7th year. BIFF Founder and Executive Director,
Leslie Vanderpool made the announcement saying, "We are excited
to once again align BIFF with a community of artists of all kinds, collaborating
under a Bahamian cultural umbrella. We chose to stick with this winning
format, which is a non-traditional auction and celebration showcased
at the lovely Old Fort Bay Club. This year we look forward to raising
awareness for all Artists.
Over 50 Collectors tickets
will be available for $300 and each ticket holder will go home with
a piece of original art. Aficionado tickets are available for $50 for
those who want to take part in the many activities outside of the auction.

Mike Rolle, Nadia Campbell,
Paul Johnston, Paul Hage- Chahine, Sabrina Lightbourne, Sharon Aitken,
Stephan Galichon, Steve Holden, Sue Katz, Suzie Burnett, Tiffany Barrett,
Toby Lunn, Tyler Johnston, Vincent McWeeney.
In 2008 part of the proceeds
from the Big Screen Art Scene at Popop Gallery were shared with the
Vincent D’Aguilar Art Foundation to assist artists to study abroad.
BIFF is very committed to providing a platform where all artists feel
supported and highlighted.
The event will take place Saturday,
August 28, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Old Fort Bay Club at Old Fort Bay. Collector's
and Guest tickets can be purchased at the BIFF office at 325- 5747.
