Nassau, Bahamas - Saturday December 4th, 2010 ‘Amigo the Potcake ‘and his music video, produced and directed by the team that brought “Who Let the Dogs Out” set to “Amigo’s Song” sung by Bahamian legends Ronnie Butler and ‘Sweet Emily Austin,’ produced by Dave Mackey was represented in The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) 2010. The lavish, entertaining video with its strong ‘pro potcake’ (and all animals) message was part of the presentations, (but not the competitions) receiving wonderful acclaim.

Frances Singer-Hayward, AMIGO’S ‘human’ profusely thanked Leslie Vanderpool, whose vision and love for  AMIGO and all that he represents made this possible. Ms. Singer-Hayward stressed that it is the very last line in “Amigo’s Song” that ‘says it all…’ “Amigo, Amigo we gotta understand…it’s only up to US to give our potcake friends a hand.”

Ms. Singer-Hayward in her short talk after the film showing stressed that she hoped that AMIGO, his music video and all that he represented in his lifetime and now as an animated character will encourage everyone in The Bahamas to support their local Humane Society.

AMIGO can be followed on Twitter, Facebook and through his animated website amigothepotcake.com. “Amigo’s Song” is also available on ITunes, CDBaby, Napster and Amazon.
