Paradise Island, Bahamas - The Bahamas Weekly News Team takes you to the red carpet of the 7th annual Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) outside of the Atlantis Theatre before the Academy Award winning actor, Alan Arkin's Career Tribute on December 4th, 2010.

In this video you will also hear from Leslie Vanderpool, Founder of BIFF; and young Academy Award nominee, Abigail Breslin, who had the honour of presenting the Career Tribute Award to Alan Arkin, her co-star of Little Miss Sunshine

Alan Arkin explains his delight in being given the tribute and when asked about his young co-star that he was awarded an Academy Award for as Breslin's grandfather, Mr Arkin described young Breslin as a "consummate pro from the age of eight, and as professional and brilliant as anyone I've ever worked with."

Arkin is still very busy in his career.  "I just finished two films, a third one will be at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and I have a book coming out in March. "

That evening guests who attended the tribute were treated to a montage of Arkin's decade long career in the movie business, and a discussion and question & answer took place on stage moderated by film critic, Jeffrey Lyons.
