At about 2: 45am on Thursday 6th June 2013, Theron Moss of Abaco Drive, Hawksbill, was driving his car west along East Sunrise Highway accompanied by a male passenger. Upon reaching in the vicinity of the Captain's Charthouse, he noticed a grey Ford Taurus car parked on the southern grass verge, with smoke emanating from underneath the vehicle.

An ambulance soon arrived and transported the young man, a resident of Caravel Beach, to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and later discharged.

The vehicle was destroyed by the fire, before Fire Officers arrived on the scene.

He was presented with an inscribed mahogany plaque, along with a gift certificate for a full tank of gasoline.
