Freeport, Bahamas - Presentation of the Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter Award for June 2013 took place at the weekly luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Lucaya, at Ruby Swiss Restaurant on Tuesday, June 11th.  Awarded was Mr. Shone Hepburn, who lives in Grand Bahama Island.

His story: At about 5:45pm on Sunday, 26th May, 2013, Mr Shone Hepburn of Seahorse Village, was driving his white Chrysler Town & Country minivan, north along Shearwater Drive in Lucaya. He came upon a black 1997 Toyota SUV, which had broken down in the road, leaving the driver and passenger stranded. Upon stopping and inquiring about their situation, Mr Hepburn obtained a nylon rope, hooked up the disabled SUV to his vehicle, then towed the vehicle and it's occupants to the Heritage Sub-Division, a distance of about five (5) miles, to the owner's residence, where it was secured to await repairs.

As a result of his considerate act towards a fellow motorist in distress, Mr Hepburn has been nominated as " the Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter-June 2013".

He received a mahogany inscribed plaque along with a gift certificate for a full tank of gasoline.
