Freeport, Bahamas - During the weekly luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Lucaya on Tuesday afternoon at the Ruby Swiss Restaurant, taxi driver Keith Cooper of Deadman's Reef received the " Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter Award for March 2013".

On Friday 15th March 2013 around 8:10am, a female resident of West Grand Bahama, was driving her champagne Honda Accord east along the Warren J Levarity Highway, on her way to work in Freeport.

As she got in the vicinity of Bahama Rock Company, the left front tyre on her vehicle suddenly blew out, causing her to lose control of the vehicle and veer off the road onto the northern grass verge, finally coming to a stop on an embankment without causing further damage.

About fifteen minutes later, Mr Keith Cooper of Deadman's Reef, who was also headed into Freeport in his truck, noticed the driver in distress and pulled over to render assistance.

He changed the tyre on the lady's vehicle, thereby enabling her to continue on her way into Freeport.

As a result of his considerate action towards a fellow motorist in distress, Mr Cooper was selected as " the Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter-March 2013."
He was presented with an inscribed mahogany plaque along with a gift certificate for a full tank of gasoline.
