Nassau, Bahamas - The Rotary Club of East Nassau announced that it will partner with the Antique Auto Club of the Bahamas in its 25th Anniversary Auto Show and Cook-Out on Saturday, March 17.

Adam Darville, Rotary President stated " This was an obvious choice of an event to support. The Antique Auto Club has supported Rotary events in the past, in particular the Bed Races, and the Show is about raising funds for Community Service, the same thing that we [Rotary] do . Plus we will be bringing something new to the Auto Show that has not been done
before."

The Rotary Club will be running a "mini carnival" with games, popcorn , cotton candy and ice cream, the games primarily for the children, who are asked to bring their parents with them.  All funds raised by the two clubs will be for the benefit of the Elizabeth Estates Children's home, which houses 40 children between the ages of 11 to 18.

Other attractions at the 25th Anniversary Show will include a Bouncy Castle, Junkanoo Rush-out, a Cuban fashion show, an on-the-spot raffle and sale of model vintage cars. The popular Art Contest for the children will continue. There will also be a special performance by Bahamian recording artist, Nathan Stone. It is expected to be a very enjoyable family event.

As in previous Antique Auto Shows, steak and chicken dinners will be on sale, still at the low price of $10.00. Tickets are available from members of the Antique Auto Club. Members of the club are also searching for other owners of antique vehicles (over 20 years old by the local definition) that are not members of the club and encouraging them to enter, as they have a target of 100 vehicles for this Anniversary Show. Participating vehicles will be judged and trophies awarded in eight classes as well as a set of trophies for the best points among vehicles being shown for the first time.

The Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas was formed in 1987 with six men interested in the vintage automobile hobby. Now, 25 years later, it has a membership of over 50 men and women.
