Freeport, G.B. Bahamas – July 22, 2014 SkyBahamas Airlines announced today that it is re-launching its Freeport to Ft. Lauderdale route, beginning Friday July 25, 2014. The company, which first introduced this service to Grand Bahama residents some three years ago before discontinuing, has become synonymous for its many initiatives that best responds to the demands and interests of the communities it serves.
According to Sky’s CEO and President Captain Randy Butler, who is fresh off the heels of his 2014 Bahamian Icon Award for Entrepreneur win, this move reaffirms the company’s commitment to its loyal GB SkyBahamas “Fan Base”, and is a direct response to many demands from its customers to reintroduce this service.
With a below market rate of only $149.99 one way and $249.99 round trip for the introductory flights, Butler believes that the greatest attraction to passengers will still be the opportunity for US Pre-Clearance in Freeport, as well as the convenient benefit of arriving at, and departing from the hassle free Terminal 4 at Ft. Lauderdale International Airport.
SkyBahamas expects to service this route through its meticulously maintained fleet of SAAB 340 (33 passengers) aircrafts. They also tout an impressive staff training programme that focuses on both technical and service-driven training. In fact, the company’s signature customer service significantly contributed towards them becoming the recipient of The Bahamas’ Ministry of Tourism 2010 Cacique Award.
Passengers may book their tickets by calling locally 352-6033, 225-2808, 350-4246 or the company’s Call Center at 242-377-8993. Additionally, Sky offers the convenience of online booking at www.skybahamas.net. Passengers may also book tickets through local Preferred Travel Agencies.
