South Bimini, Bahamas – The Blue Flag
officially flies over Bimini Sands Marina, making it one of only four
marinas in The Bahamas – and the only marina on Bimini – to have earned
this prestigious environmental emblem. Presented by the Foundation for
Environmental Education (FEE), an international nonprofit and
non-governmental organization, the Blue Flag is the highest award a
marina can attain for environmental stewardship, education and safety.
Bimini Sands Marina received its Blue Flag certification in September
2013 after a rigorous application and inspection process...

South Bimini, Bahamas –
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), an international
nonprofit and non-governmental organization, has awarded a Blue Flag to
Bimini Sands Marina on South Bimini in the Bahamas. The Blue Flag is a
voluntary “eco-label” that is awarded to marinas around the world based
on their compliance with 24 criteria covering Environmental Education
& Information, Water Quality, Environmental Management, Safety &
Services.
Bimini Sands Marina received its Blue Flag
certification on September 12, 2013 following a rigorous application and
inspection process. To date, it is one of only four marinas in the
Bahamas to achieve this environmental standard.

ALICE TOWN, BIMINI - Nearly 45-years-ago,
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. checked into the Big Game Club, a historic
fishing resort on Bimini Bay, and spent time working on a speech he
would deliver a few days later at the Mason Temple in Memphis on April
3, 1968. He was assassinated the next day.
Dr. King first visited the resort in 1964 when he
traveled to Bimini to work on his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech.
Four years he was back in Bimini where he worked on completing his “I‘ve
Been to the Mountaintop” speech...
