Ministry of Health Update #96 - Inaccurate Social Media Report of COVID-19 Cases

There is a news item being circulated on social media today that reports three (3) confirmed COVID-19 positive tests in Grand Bahama.  The report also revealed that the affected persons were members of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.  

The Ministry of Health advises that there were no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Grand Bahama today, and the last confirmed case from Grand Bahama was reported on Tuesday, 14th July in the Ministry of Health’s Update #94.

The public is advised that it is the policy of the Ministry of Health to protect the names of persons and businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19, and will not publish the same, as this information is considered strictly “private and confidential.”
