The Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Jessica Cartwright as Acting Hospital Administrator at the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) with effect from April 6th, 2021.
A former educator, Ms. Cartwright earned her Master of Health Administration (HONORS) from Western Connecticut State University and began her career in Health Administration at the Public Hospitals Authority, Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) in July 1999, where she was posted as Trainee Administrative Cadet. She was appointed Assistant Hospital Administrator in 2001 and accepted the appointment as Senior Assistant Hospital Administrator in 2003.
Throughout her tenure at PMH, Ms. Cartwright made significant contributions to the operations and further development of the hospital, including her role as Client Project Manager of the Critical Care Block project. Ms Cartwright has taken the lead on many major capital projects at PMH, one of the most recent being the Urgent & Emergency Care project which includes a phased expansion and renovation of the PMH Emergency Department; and an integrated system for the provision of urgent care services in the public health system at the Elizabeth Estates Clinic, New Providence.
In 2016, she was appointed as Deputy Hospital Administrator, a position she held until her deployment to the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre.
The Board of Directors, Senior Executives, staff, and partners of the Public Hospitals Authority extend congratulations to Ms. Jessica Cartwright on her deployment to Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre as Hospital Administrator and wish her every success as she leads that unique and diverse institution.
