Taking it for granted that
our children are growing well and will
be attaining the full potential of their bodies may be foolish.
Look at their posture, others do.
If you find yourself
constantly reminding your child to “sit up straight” or poking your finger in
their back with the “quit slouching” command, maybe it is time to seek out a
professional’s opinion about their growth progression.
Chiropractors are trained to
evaluate posture and are experts at measuring and grading your child’s
growth.
They can also do something
positive to stop and change many of the shortcomings which lean the body over
and cause slouching and poor posture.
We are as young as we are
supple in our spine and extremities.
We
are also as healthy as we are supple.
We
tend to take it for granted that young people are automatically supple and
healthy but the truth is that loss of joint mobility begins very early in life
and continues on relentlessly.
Most of us don’t think about
our mobility and health until we fail to get out of bed easily one
morning.
Or we go to the medical clinic
and get bad news about our health, confirming our suspicions that the problem
is real and has been going on for some time.
Funny how we connect an age thing onto our health.
“Well I’m in my 40’s now so I suppose it goes
with the territory.”
So many of my patients come
to me with the story of how they just woke up and their neck was stiff or they
were at the computer and it caused them to have neck pains.
Having “slept wrong” or “sitting too long”
didn’t cause their problems.
If that
were true then everyone that slept or sat for long periods would get a stiff
and sore neck and they just don’t.
Stiff and sore joints come
from some of the parts failing.
Usually
the parts are the muscles and they fail when resistance puts the arrival of the
nerve signals out of phase, out of proper arrival time.
Our body signals the parts to
work in a harmonious manner through the passage of energy through nerves.
In order for the complex organ, muscle, brain
and nerve systems to all be in phase or timed accurately there are different
types of nerves with different speeds of energy passage.
The different speeds of
energy allows the timing of arrival through the brain and throughout the body
to synchronize in spite of the longer and shorter distances the energy must
travel.
One of the most frequent
disruptive encounters that energy meets is the common joint
subluxation.
A subluxation is a misaligned
joint that may or may not produce symptoms but always produces resistance,
altering the speed of passage of energy through and around them.
When energy is resisted it changes form
creating a magnetic field among other things.
The magnetic field change alters the speed of other nerve energy as
their electrons pass within the joint’s range.
When the electrons of energy
in our nerves alter due to the influence of the subluxation, muscles and soft
tissues such as organs go “offline.”
They are denied the phase of timing necessary to harmonize with the grid
of the body.
We see this as the muscles
fail to precisely fire and do the work needed to hold the body in
position.
We see it as “bad posture.”
We feel the loss of energy
when we load our frame and demand that the muscles go to work for us and they
don’t, causing
strain and
pain.
The loss of proper energy
timing and our health is early in onset.
Children begin to carry subluxations from birth.
Left unexamined and unattended the
subluxations silently take our health and burden our reserves.
Chiropractic examination and
adjustments reduce subluxations.
Safe
and affective the well trained and willing chiropractor should be the number
one stop for you and your children in your ongoing bid towards obtaining and
maintaining your health.
