Nassau, Bahamas - Three Beauties of Grand Bahama, Braneka Bassett – Miss The Copier
Ltd., Sharie Delva – Miss Sigma Management, and Kastachia Stuart –
Miss West Grand Bahama recently competed in the Miss Bahamas Pageant
held at the Atlantis Ball Room on May 09, 2010 in Nassau, Bahamas.
An intense moment among the sixteen (16) contestants as the judges choose
the top ten semi finalists of which 20-year-old Miss Braneka Bassett
and 21-year-old Kastachia Stuart were placed.
After the evening gown segment, the contestants were narrowed down to
the top five (5) which included Anastagia Pierre, Miss Janay Pyfrom,
Miss Lataj Henfield, Miss Kastacia Stuart and Miss Braneka Bassett.
Each girl was then escorted to a sound proof area to await her turn
at the final question… this question focused on the hardship and despair
being experienced throughout the Bahamas and each girl offered her answer
as if she was to become Miss Bahamas what would she want to say to the
Bahamian People. A few girls had some difficulty in answering
the question but in a relaxing voice Braneka first gave a cheerful ‘Hello
Bahamas’ then went on to tell the Bahamian people that there is always
HOPE and Love and not to lose hope as change will come. The judges were
then given a final opportunity to make their selection for the title.
When it was all done Miss Bahamas 2010 was announced as 20 Year old
Braneka Bassett, First Princess – Anastagia Pierre, Miss Bahamas Intercontinental,
Second Princess – Janay Pyfrom, Miss Bahamas Supranational
Braneka Basset will start her first voyage as Miss Bahamas on Friday
May 14, 2010 as she travels to Las Vegas to be a guest at the Miss U.S.A
Pageant. Following the event, she is schedule to represent the Bahamas
in the up-coming Miss World and Miss Universe Pageant.
