Launched in 2006, the Caribbean Arts &
Entertainment EXPO is the first and only Caribbean conference dedicated to
songwriting, composing, audio engineering/production, dance, and
videographers. Selling out in its inaugural year, the EXPO immediately
provided a unique opportunity for songwriters, composers, publishers, producers
– and those in the industry that support them – to come together in an
unprecedented way to share their knowledge and expertise.
In previous years, the Expo has been held in Puerto
Rico, Jamaica, and Bermuda. Due to the rapid growth in local
interest/involvement in art and entertainment, the committee has proudly
selected The Bahamas for it’s 2009 event. Top industry professionals will come
together to share their knowledge and expertise on a broad range of topics,
specific to this market and of great importance to those vying to take their
product abroad.
Since its inaugural year, the EXPO has attracted
more than 6,000 music creators, industry professionals, exhibitors and sponsors,
and is expected to bring together another large gathering in The Bahamas this
year.
The most favored elements included: shopping
customized tracks/beats by the best local audio engineers; a featured Artist
Representative (A&R) from Def Jam Recording, one on one sessions with
videographers, photographers, graphic designers, dance agencies and the array of
networking
opportunities.
It will take place from 8pm to 1am and will also
feature “Mixologists” from Bacardi in addition to those involved in Art and
Entertainment.
