“POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS ARRESTS- GRAND BAHAMA”
Freeport, Bahamas - A 25 year old male and a 20 year old male, both of Freeport, Grand Bahama, are in police custody after they were both arrested for possession of dangerous drugs in two separate incidents.
The first incident occurred sometime around 11:40pm on Wednesday 30th October 2013. Officers while conducting a search of the 25 year old male and his vehicle on Queens Highway discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana.
The second incident occurred sometime around 3:00pm on Wednesday 30th October 2013, in the area of Fawcett Lane. Officers observed a male acting in a suspicious manner near an abandoned building. He then ran upon seeing the officers and dropped a bag. Officer apprehended the culprit, retrieved and searched the bag and discovered (66) sixty six wrapped foil containing a brown plant like substance of suspected marijuana.
Both males were arrested and taken into police custody and are expected to be charged and arraigned before the courts later this week.
Police are continuing the investigation into these matters
