RBPF Grand Bahama: Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male dead - Jan 29, 2020 - 8:09:33 PM
Reports are that on Tuesday 29th January 2020, shortly after
7:00pm, police were called to the Weddell Avenue area where there were
reports of gunshots being fired. Officers quickly responded and met a
male lying on the ground with multiple gunshots about the body. The male
was transported by ambulance to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he
later succumbed to injuries.
Police are aggressively
investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for
anyone with information that can assist in this investigation to give

nearest police station...

RBPF Grand Bahama: Firearm and ammunition arrests - Oct 25, 2019 - 8:45:54 AM
In the first incident on Thursday 24th October 2019 shortly after
3:00pm, officers of the Special Patrol Unit, while on mobile patrol,
observed two males acting suspicious who ran on seeing the officers. The
officers gave chase and observed on of the male discard an item that
later was discovered to be an illegal firearm. He was apprehended and
the illegal firearm recovered which was a 9mm pistol with a magazine
containing (2) rounds of ammunition...

Police in Grand Bahama are searching for 23 year old Germaerico
Gardiner who he is wanted by the Central Detective Unit for
Housebreaking and Bail Violation. He is described as standing at 5’9”
in height, weighing 150 lbs. with dark brown complexion and average
built.
Germaerico Gardiner is considered armed
and extremely dangerous and should not be approached, but call the

Police on Grand Bahama investigating an alleged suicide - Oct 12, 2019 - 7:30:55 PM
Reports are that shortly before 3:00pm on Saturday 12th October
2019, police were called to the rear of the Sir Jack Hayward Senior High
School playing field, where the lifeless body of a male was discovered
hanging by a rope from a tree. EMS Personnel were called to the scene
and police are actively investigating this matter.

Reports are that on Wednesday 9th October 2019, shortly after 1:00am,
police were alerted of gunshots being fired at a business establishment
in the area of East Atlantic Drive and East Sunrise Blvd. It was
reported that two males entered that establishment, produced a firearm
and open fire, shooting the two victims to the upper body. Both males
were transported to the Samaritans Purse Hospital, where they were seen
by doctors and are listed in serious but stable condition...

officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, while at a resident on Shannon
Drive, discovered 4.42 lbs. of suspected marijuana. Two males and a
female who reside at that resident were arrested and taken into police
custody...
Reports are that on Thursday 11th July 2019, shortly before 9:00pm,
officers of the Eight Mile Rock Division, while armed with a search
warrant, went to a resident in Jones Town, Eight Mile Rock and
discovered (27) .40 hollow tip ammunition...

Reports are that on Thursday 4th July 2019, shortly after 2:00am,
police were called to the East Sunrise Highway area, where it was
reported that a male armed with a firearm shot two females. They both
sustained injuries to the leg area and were transported to the Rand
Memorial Hospital via private vehicle and ambulance. They are both
reported to be in stable condition.

RBPF: Traffic Fatality has left a male dead - Jul 3, 2019 - 10:25:31 AM
Reports are that on Sunday 30th June 2019, police were called to the
East Sunrise Highway area, where a male was struck by a black Honda
Civic vehicle travelling east on East Sunrise Highway and failed to
stop. Police and EMS personnel were called to the scene. The pedestrian
was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he was seen by doctor who
listed his injuries as serious. Police later located the black Honda
Civic vehicle and the 26 year old driver who is from Grand Bahama...

Reports are that on Monday 1st July 2019 shortly after 9:00pm, officers
of the Rapid Response Unit, while on routine patrol in the area of East
Sunrise Highway and Seahorse Road, attempted to pull over a grey Honda
Accord as a result of a traffic infraction. The vehicle refused to stop
and officers observed a container being thrown out of the vehicle and
retrieve the item, where it was discovered to contain suspected
marijuana. The vehicle was pulled over and two males both of Freeport,
Grand Bahama were arrested...

Reports are that on Tuesday 25th June 2019, shortly after 12:00pm, a
joint operation between officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and
Bahamas Customs at the Freeport Harbour, resulted in the arrest of a
male of Eleuthera Drive, Hawksbill, who had travelled on board the M/V
Baleria from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where it was discovered concealed
in the lining of his carryon luggage...
