Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - On November 12th, just three days after the fatal plane crash, the family of Dr. Myles and Pastor Ruth Munroe held a press conference in the ballroom at the Grand Lucayan Hotel.

Press were asked to decline from questioning in light of the difficult loss they have endured.

Giving welcome remarks was Jerome Edmonson.  "If there was a group of people he absolutely prepared, that was his family. His North American family, his African family, his global family, his personal family. He prepared us all for whatever may come," said Edmonson.

He then introduced the son of Rev. Munroe,  Chairo (Myles Jr.) who read a statement surrounded by his family and Bahamas Faith Ministries colleagues. He acknowledged everyone who died in the crash.

"We want you all to know that in spite of the recent tragedy that claimed the lives of my parents Dr. Myles and Ruth Munroe, my uncle Dr. Richard Pinder, our chief pilot Captain Stanley Thurston, our first officer Frankan Cooper, our youth pastors Lavard and Radel Parks, their son Johanan Parks and their unborn child and our dear friend Diego Santiago." he said.

"We are not sure how or why, something like this would be allowed to happen to such great individuals, but still, God is in control. The past few days have been the most difficult times for my sister and I, my family and all of those affected by this loss."

"We are all saddened by this tragic event, but we are comforted and encouraged by the outpouring of love and support from everyone around the country and those around the world at large," said Munroe.

Lastly, Jamaican minister, Dr Peter Morgan,  President of the International Third World Leaders Association offered some words of prayer and encouragement.

"When we made the decision on Sunday evening to go on with the conference (Global Leadership Forum) it is because we felt and we knew that the vision, the burden, the passion, the messages of the life of Dr. Myles, sister Ruth, Richard, and all those that were in that aircraft lived for God, and they died in God," said Morgan.
